  1.   *********  Welcome to Pro Football EDGE!  VERSION 4.0  ***************
  2.        Pro Football EDGE!  is a comprehensive program for handicapping
  3.                  NFL WINNERS and OVER/UNDER POINT TOTALS.

  5.   Requires: IBM Compatible,  640KB RAM,  Color or Mono, 1 MEG Disk Space
  6.   
  7.    *********************  I N S T A L L A T I O N    ******************
  8.        You should run the  install  program  for proper operation.  The
  9.    installation  process  is  automatic  and  will  work from any drive
  10.    including hard drives.  Just type  "install" on the DOS Command line
  11.    followed with a <RETURN> or <ENTER> key.  Pro Football EDGE!   takes
  12.    up about 1 Megabyte of disk space.
  13.   
  14.    ***************  COMMAND LINE OPTIONS  *****************************
  15.    There are a few of command line options that may be  useful  to  you
  16.    but  are  not  yet  included  in  the documentation.  A command line
  17.    option  is simply the process of adding characters to the normal DOS
  18.    command  which  runs  pfe.   You   should  not  use  dashes  (-)  or
  19.    slashes(/\).  Just single (Upper or Lowercase) letters  with  spaces
  20.    in between.

  22.    ******  EACH OF THESE WILL SET A SWITCH WHICH REMAINS THIS WAY UNTIL
  23.            YOU OTHERWISE CHANGE IT.
  24.       BLINKING TEXT:  If any of  the  windows within Pro Football EDGE!
  25.    have "blinking" text then PFE!   is incorrectly configured for  your
  26.    monitor.  To fix this simply type on the DOS command line:
  27.    "pfe m"  if you have a MONOCHROME Montor  Monochome Color Settings
  28.    "pfe c"  if you have a CGA COLOR  Montor  CGA Color Settings 
  29.    "pfe v"  if you have a EGA or VGA Montor  EGA/VGA Color Settings 
  30.  
  31.    "pfe s"  Toggles on/off the "Scrolling One liners" that appear in the
  32.             Weekly game selector screen.
  33.  
  34.    "pfe L#" Lock  the BBS Dial into Node # (where # is 1 or 2 or 3 or
  35.             etc).  If you are  having  logon problems with a particular
  36.             node or if you wish to log onto the 28,800 line.  This will
  37.             be the only node that is called.  
  38.  
  39.    "pfe L0" UnLocks the BBS Dial so that it will rotate calls among all
  40.             available   nodes   (phone   numbers)   until  it  makes  a
  41.             connedtion.
  42.    
  43.    ******  THESE TWO OPTIONS WORK ONLY AT INSTANCE OF USAGE. (NON PERMANENT) 
  44.    "pfe q" Quickload.  Will launch right into the predict games menu.
  45.            Bypasses opening screens.
  46.  
  47.    "pfe o" Computer picks OFF.  Turns off the calculation of the computer
  48.            pick which allows for speedy creation of matchup information.

  52.         Pro Football Edge!  registration is $39.95 for the  first  year
  53.    with  annual reduced priced (Currently $29.95) upgrades required for
  54.    each new NFL Season.   Free  BBS  Support is available and statistic
  55.    download support is optional  at  $30  per  year.   All  pricing  is
  56.    subject  to change beyond version 4.0.  All registration information
  57.    and order forms are located within the actual program.
